Abstract

In December 2024, there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Nunukan Regency of 1.25 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.33.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: clothing and footwear by 13.74 percent, transportation by 0.46 percent, provision of food and beverages/restaurants by 8.07 percent, and personal care and other services by 3.12 percent. Several expenditure groups experienced a decrease in the Index or deflation, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 0.28 percent, housing, water, electricity and household fuel by 0.74 percent, household equipment, tools and routine maintenance by 0.79 percent, health by 1.34 percent, information, communication and financial services by 0.7 percent, recreation, sports and culture by 0.84 percent. The education group in December 2024 did not contribute significantly to the y-on-y inflation of Nunukan Regency. In December 2024, Nunukan Regency experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.43 percent and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation of 1.25 percent.
