Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by the increase in most of the expenditure group indices, which are: clothing and footwear by 11.3 percent, provision of food and drinks/restaurants by 10.02 percent, food, drinks and tobacco by 6.49 percent, personal care and other services by 2.8 percent, and transportation by 0.23 percent. Several expenditure groups experienced a decrease in the index or deflation, namely: supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance by 2.74 percent, health by 1.74 percent, housing, water, electricity and household fuel by 0.84 percent, information , communications and financial services at 0.81 percent, and recreation, sports and culture at 0.68 percent. The education group in October 2024 did not make a significant share/contribution to Nunukan Regency's y-on-y inflation.
