Abstract

The composite Producer Price Index (PPI) of the three sectors (Agriculture, Mining and Quarrying, and Manufacturing) in quarter II-2023 fell 0.98 percent against quarter I-2023 (q-to-q) and increased by 1.56 percent against quarter II-2022 (y-on-y).
The PPI of the Agricultural Sector in quarter II-2023 rose 0.85 percent against quarter I-2023 (q-to-q) and increased by 6.49 percent against quarter II-2022 (y-on-y).
The PPI of the Mining and Quarrying Sector in quarter II-2023 decreased by 8.79 percent compared to quarter I-2023 (q-to-q) and decreased by 11.96 percent against quarter II-2022 (y-on-y).
The PPI of the Manufacturing Sector in quarter II-2023 rose 0.29 percent against quarter I-2023 (q-to-q) and increased by 3.47 percent against quarter II-2022 (y-on-y).
The PPI for the Electricity and Gas Supply in quarter II-2023 rose 0.09 percent against quarter I-2023 (q-to-q) and increased by 2.41 percent against quarter II-2022 (y-on-y).
The PPI for the Water Supply in quarter II-2023 rose 0.05 percent compared to quarter I-2023 (q-to-q) and increased by 1.04 percent against quarter II2022 (y-on-y).
The PPI for the Passenger Transportation Sector in quarter II-2023 increased by 0.98 percent against quarter I-2023 (q-to-q) and rose 8.01 percent against quarter II-2022 (y-on-y).
The PPI for the Accommodation and Food Beverage Sector in quarter II2023 increased by 0.32 percent and 1.33 percent compared to quarter I-2023 (q-to-q) and quarter II-2022 (y-on-y), respectively.
The PPI for the Education Services sector in quarter II-2023 rose 0.12 percent and 2.38 percent against quarter I-2023 (q-to-q) and compared to quarter II-2022 (y-on-y), respectively.
The PPI of the Health Services Sector in quarter II-2023 rose 0.67 percent against quarter I-2023 (q-to-q) and increased by 4.23 percent against quarter II-2022 (y-on-y).
