  • In September 2024, international visitor arrivals in Indonesia were 1.28 million. International visitors decreased by 4.53 percent compared to August 2024 (m-to-m), but increased by 19.53 percent compared to September 2023 (y-on-y). International visitor arrivals in September 2024 were dominated by Malaysian (18.33 percent), Australian (12.45 percent), and Chinese (8.93 percent).
  • The number of domestic tourism trips in September 2024, reached 83.36 million. This number increased by 9.86 percent compared to August 2024 (m-to-m), and 38.58 percent compared to September 2023 (y-on-y). From January to September 2024, domestic tourism trips recorded 757.96 million, an increase of 21.06 percent compared to the same period in the previous year (c-to-c).
  • In September 2024, the number of outbound trips was 660.89 thousand. It increased by 1.97 percent compared to August 2024 (m-to-m) and 17.83 percent compared to the same month in the previous year (y-on-y). Malaysia became the leading destination country for outbound trips in September 2024 (29.68 percent), followed by Saudi Arabia (17.77 percent), Singapore (13.97 percent), and China (5.62 percent).
  • The room occupancy rate (ROR) of star hotels in September 2024 was 54.68 percent, which increased by 1.66 percentage points compared to September 2023 (y-on-y) but decreased by 0.17 percentage points compared to the previous month (m-to-m). Meanwhile, the room occupancy rate of nonstar hotels was 27.86 percent, which increased by 3.04 percentage points compared to September 2023 (y-on-y) and 0.10 percentage points compared to the previous month (m-to-m). The average length of stay at star hotels in September 2024 was 1.63 nights, which increased by 0.01 percentage points compared to September 2023 (y-on-y).
