Abstract

In May 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Nunukan Regency of 2.65 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.07.
Y-on-Y nflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in most expenditure group indexes, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.54 percent; clothing and footwear group by 8.93 percent; health group by 0.71 percent, transportation group by 0.75 percent; leisure, sports and cultural groups at 0.4 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 7.04 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.12 percent. The housing, water, electricity and household fuel group index decreased or deflation by 0.8 percent. Likewise, the household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.36 percent and the information, communication and financial services group experienced deflation by 0.58 percent. The education group in May 2024 did not contribute significantly to Nunukan Regency's y-on-y inflation.
In May 2024, Inflation Nunukan Regency will see month-to-month (m-to-m) and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation of 0.07 percent and 1 percent, respectively.
