Abstract

In April 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in North Kalimantan Province will be 2.47 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.47. The highest inflation occurred in Nunukan Regency at 3.17 percent with a CPI of 107.00 and the lowest occurred in Tanjung Selor at 1.50 percent with a CPI of 105.18.
Y-on-y inflation in North Kalimantan Province occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.38 percent; clothing and footwear group at 3.37 percent; health group by 0.75 percent; transportation group at 1.31 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.17 percent; education group at 0.24 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.84 percent; personal care and other services group amounted to 3.75 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced a decline in the index were; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.05 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.29 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.16 percent.
North Kalimantan Province in April the month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate was 0.39 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 1.05 percent.
