Abstract

In January 2024, international visitor arrivals in Indonesia were 927.75 thousand. International visitors decreased by 18.94 percent compared with December 2023 (month-to-month) and increased by 16.19 percent compared with January 2023 (year-on-year). International arrivals in January 2024 was dominated by visitors from Malaysia (16.73 percent), Australia (13.70 percent), and Singapore (9.40 percent).
The room occupancy rate (ROR) of classified hotels in January 2024 was 46.72 percent, which increased by 1.86 percentage points compared with January 2023 (year-on-year) and decreased by 13.02 percentage points compared with the previous month (month-to-month). In line with the classified hotels, the room occupancy rate of non-classified hotels was 24.57 percent, which increased by 2.43 percentage points compared with January 2023 (yearon-year) and decreased by 4.10 percentage points compared with previous month (month-to-month).
The average length of stay at classified hotels during January 2024 was 1.58 days, declined by 0.07 points compared with January 2023. In contrast, the average length of stay increased by 0.01 points compared with previous month.
