Abstract

In February 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in North Kalimantan Province was 2.33 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.62. The highest inflation occurred in Nunukan Regency at 3.03 percent with a CPI of 105.60 and the lowest occurred in Tanjung Selor at 1.96 percent with a CPI of 104.82.
Y-on-y inflation in North Kalimantan Province occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.1 percent; clothing and footwear group at 3.13 percent; transportation group at 2.11 percent; personal care and other services group at 1.91 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.89 percent; health group at 0.59 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.56 percent; education group at 0.24 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.03 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced a decline in the index were the information, communication and financial services group by 0.2 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group amounted to 0.29 percent.
North Kalimantan Province in February the month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate was 0.19 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 0.24 percent
