Abstract

The Nunukan Economy in the first quarter of 2022 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp 7.55 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reached Rp 4.16 trillion.
  • Nunukan's economy in the first quarter of 2022 when compared to the first quarter of 2021 (y-on-y) grew by 4.88 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Wholesale and Retail Trade; Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles business field of 10.71 percent.
  • The economy of Nunukan in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) experienced a contraction of 0.91 percent. In terms of production, the deepest contraction in growth occurred in the business field of the Administration of Government, Defense and Compulsory Social Security by 13.25 percent.
  • In the province of North Kalimantan, the economy in the first quarter of 2022 all regencies/cities will experience growth. Malinau Regency grew by 4.98 percent; Bulungan Regency grew by 4.78 percent; Tana Tidung Regency grew by 4.52 percent; Nunukan Regency grew by 4.88 percent; and Tarakan City grew by 4.73 percent.
  • The economic contribution of Nunukan Regency in the first quarter of 2022 is 26.39 percent of the total GRDP of North Kalimantan. Nunukan Regency is the second highest contributor to the GRDP of North Kalimantan Province after Tarakan City.
