In July 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in North Kalimantan Province was 1.98 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.50. The highest inflation occurred in Nunukan Regency at 2.69 percent with a CPI of 107.33 and the lowest occurred in Tanjung Selor at 0.58 percent with a CPI of 104.50.
The y-on-y inflation in North Kalimantan Province occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 3.95 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.77 percent; health group by 0.64 percent; transportation group by 0.59 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.52 percent; education group by 0.30 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.25 percent; personal care and other services group by 5.04 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced a decrease in the index were the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.27 percent; the household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.06 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.14 percent.
North Kalimantan Province in July had a month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate of -0.01 percent and a year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate of 1.08 percent.
