Abstract

The total workforce in August 2023 was 113,968 people, an increase of 7,482 people compared to August 2022. The increase in the workforce was also accompanied by an increase in the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) of 2.83 percentage points compared to August 2022.

The Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2023 was 2.69 percent, down 0.04 percentage points compared to August 2022.
The working population is 110,897 people, an increase of 7,327 people from August 2022. The employment sector that experienced the largest percentage increase was the Agricultural Sector (0.26 percentage points). Meanwhile, the sector that experienced the largest decline was the Services Sector (0.51 percentage points).
A total of 66,630 people (60.08 percent) worked in informal activities, an increase of 1.26 percentage points compared to August 2022.
