Abstract

  • Of the 90 national CPI monitoring cities, in November 2023, the highest year on year (yoy) inflation was the city of Tanjung Pandan at 5.89 percent, the city of Sumenep at 5.51 percent and the city of Merauke at 5.25 percent. Meanwhile, the cities with the lowest inflation were Jayapura city at 1.82 percent, Banda Aceh city at 1.93 percent and Sintang city at 1.94 percent.
  • The combined prices of goods/services for Tarakan City and Tanjung Selor City in November 2023 experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.45 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.33 percent. Tanjung Selor City experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 1.95 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.37 percent. Tarakan City experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.58 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.32 percent.
  • The combined monthly inflation (mtm) of Tarakan City and Tanjung Selor City was influenced by the transportation group at 1.51 percent, the personal care and other services group at 0.98 percent, the food, beverage and tobacco group at 0.29 percent, the information, communication group , and financial services at 0.00 percent, recreation, sports and culture group at 0.00 percent, education group at 0.00 percent, and food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.00 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced deflation were the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at -0.20 percent, the clothing and footwear group at -0.15 percent, the health group at -0.07 percent, and the equipment group , equipment and routine household maintenance by -0.02 percent.
