  • Of the 90 cities monitored by the national CPI, in October 2022. The highest year on year 2 (yoy) inflation was Tanjung Selor City at 9.11 percent, Kotabaru City at 8.64 percent, and Sintang City at 8.63 percent. Meanwhile, the lowest year on year (yoy) inflation was found in Ternate City at 3.32 percent, Wingapu City at 3.60 percent and Sorong City at 3.94 percent.
  • The combined prices of goods/services for the City of Tarakan and the City of Tanjung Selor in October 2022 experienced an inflation year on year (yoy) of 6.06 percent with a monthly deflation (mtm) of -0.06 percent. Tanjung Selor City experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 9.11 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.32 percent. The city of Tarakan experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 5.29 percent with a monthly deflation (mtm) of -0.16 percent.
  • The combined annual inflation (yoy) of Tarakan City and Tanjung Selor City was influenced by transportation by 22.24 percent, household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 7.43 percent, personal care and other services group by 7.23 percent, group food, beverages and tobacco by 5.19 percent, the group providing food and beverages/restaurants by 3.76 percent, the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 2.60 percent, the health group by 1.51 percent, education group by 0.63 percent, clothing and footwear group by 0.60 percent, recreation, sports and culture group by 0.44 percent and information, communication and financial services group by 0.40 percent.
