Based on the results of the 2023 Agricultural Census in Nunukan Regency, the number of agricultural business households in Nunukan Regency is 21,601 households.

Abstract

  • Nunukan's economy based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in the second quarter of 2021 reached Rp 7.12 trillion and at constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 4.06 trillion.
  • Nunukan's economy in the second quarter of 2021 compared to the second quarter of 2020 grew 5.92 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, growth was driven by all business fields, where the highest was achieved by the Water Supply, Waste Management, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation Activities of 10.73 percent.
  • Nunukan's economy in the second quarter of 2021 compared to the first quarter of 2021 grew by 2.32 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, growth was due to the growth of several business fields, the largest being Public Administration and Defence,  Compulsory Social Security at 12.54 percent.
  • Nunukan's economy in semester I-2021 compared to semester I-2020 grew 2.08 percent (c-to-c). In terms of production, growth was driven by all business fields, the highest growth was in the Water Supply, Waste Management, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation Activities at 8.88 percent.
  • In the region of North Kalimantan Province, the economy in the second quarter of 2021 (y-on-y) all regencies/cities improved. Malinau Regency grew by 5.89 percent; Bulungan Regency by 5.95 percent; Tana Tidung Regency by 6.32 percent; Nunukan Regency by 5.92 percent; and Tarakan City by 6.03 percent.
  • Nunukan Regency's economic contribution is 26.29 percent of the total GRDP of North Kalimantan. Nunukan Regency is the second highest contributor to the GRDP of North Kalimantan Province after Tarakan City.
