  • Out of 90 Municipalities on national CPI monitoring, in May 2021, 78 Municipalities experienced inflation and 12 other Municipalities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Manokwari Municipality at 1.82 percent and the lowest inflation was in Tembilahan Municipality at 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation was in Timika Municipality at -0.83 percent and the lowest deflation was in Palembang Municipality at -0.02 percent.
  • Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) in May 2021 an inflation of 1.07 percent occurred. Meanwhile, Tarakan Municipality experienced inflation of 1.20 percent and Tanjung Selor Municipality experienced deflation of 0.55 percent.
  • Inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by an increase in the index for the transportation group of 5.99 percent, the personal care and other services group by 1.04 percent, the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.83. percent, the health group by 0.72 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.39 percent, the clothing and footwear group by 0.28 percent, the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.19 percent, the group the provision of food and beverages/restaurants by 0.11 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 0.01 percent, the information, communication and financial services group by 0.01 percent and the education group by 0.00 percent.
