Abstract

The 2005-2025 National Long Term Development Plan (RPJPN) stipulates that the national development vision is to create an independent, advanced, just and prosperous Indonesia. Fair means there are no restrictions/discrimination in any form, including gender discrimination. Therefore, improving the quality of life for women, increasing the role of women in various areas of life, integrating gender perspectives at all stages of development, and strengthening gender mainstreaming institutions, both at the central and regional levels are targets in national development listed in the 2020-2025 RPJMN.The role of women in development in Rembang Regency cannot be underestimated. This can be seen from at least two things. First, women are partners for men in overcoming social, economic and political problems. Second, quality women also determine the quality of the next generation in the family.Gender development in terms of IPG figures shows that the IPG of Nunukan Regency consistently continues to increase from 83.64 to 85.41 during 2020-2023. This increase cannot be separated from the increase in the constituent variables, especially achievements in the fields of health and education for women. Gender development in terms of IDG index numbers shows that in the same period, Nunukan Regency's IDG numbers rose from 77.16 to 78.68. This increase was due to an increase in IDG components. Among them are the percentage of female professional participation and income contribution. The constituent indicators still show progress, for example the percentage of women as professionals and women's contribution to family income
