Abstract

Human development is a measure of overall development performance which is formed through a three basic dimensional approach, namely long and healthy life, knowledge, and a decent standard of living. All indicators representing these three dimensions are summarized in one single value, the Human Development Index (HDI). By utilizing the human development paradigm as a strategic point in development, the Nunukan Regency Human Development Index 2023 book is expected to be an input in regional planning. Since 2014, the Central Statistics Agency has officially calculated the Human Development Index using a new method based on the method issued by the UNDP. To maintain the continuity of calculations, the new HDI method is not only calculated from 2014, but also starting from 2010.
