Abstract

In December 2024, the year-on-year (y-on-y) change in the National General Wholesale Price Index (IHPB) was 1.98 percent against the IHPB in December 2023. The highest increase in IHPB occurred in the Industrial Sector, which was 2.12 percent.
Several commodities that experienced price increases year-on-year (y-on-y) in December 2024 included: palm oil, cooking oil, filtered kretek cigarettes, coffee, and cocoa.
The month-on-month (m-to-m) change in IHPB in December 2024 was 0.39 percent and the calendar year (y-to-d) change in IHPB in December 2024 was 1.98 percent.
The change in the IHPB for Building/Construction Materials year-on-year (y-on-y) in December 2024 was 0.72 percent compared to December 2023, due to, among other things, increases in the prices of cement, sand, building foundation stones, asphalt, and flooring commodities.
