Abstract

Gender empowerment in Nunukan Regency in 2023 showed an increase compared to 2022. In 2023, the Gender Development Index (IDG) of Nunukan Regency reached 78.68, an increase of 1.27 points compared to 2021, which was 77.41. 
  • During the period from 2022 to 2023, the components forming the IDG underwent significant changes. The proportion of women in professional occupations increased from 37.91% to 49.12%. Meanwhile, the proportion of women's contribution to income experienced a decline in 2023.
