  • The year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in November 2024 was 1.55 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.33. The highest inflation by province was in Papua Tengah Province at 4.35 percent, with a CPI of 110.39, while the lowest was in Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province at 0.22 percent, with a CPI of 103.58. The highest inflation by regency/municipality was seen in Nabire Regency at 4.48 percent with a CPI of 110.75, while the lowest was seen in Muara Enim Regency at 0.08 percent with a CPI of 108.43. On the other hand, the highest deflation by regency/municipality was seen in Timor Tengah Selatan Regency at 1.54 percent with a CPI of 104.77, while the lowest was seen in Tanjung Pandan at 0.09 percent with a CPI of 105.29.
  • Inflation occurred as the prices went up, as indicated by the increase in most expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverages, and Tobacco Group of 1.68 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group of 1.20 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group of 0.59 percent; Furnishings, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance Group of 1.08 percent; Health Group of 1.65 percent; Transport Group of 0.03 percent; Recreation, Sport, and Culture Group of 1.49 percent; Education Group of 1.89 percent; Food and Beverage Serving Services/Restaurant Group of 2.40 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services Group of 7.26 percent. Meanwhile, Information, Communication, and Financial Services Group recorded deflation of 0.28 percent.
  • The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in November 2024 was 0.30 percent, and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in November 2024 was 1.12 percent.
  • For the Core Component, the November 2024 y-on-y inflation rate was 2.26 percent, the m-to-m inflation rate was 0.17 percent, and the y-to-d inflation rate was 2.09 percent.
