Abstract

  • In March 2024, Indonesia's National Wholesale Price Index changed by 3.64 percent compared with March 2023 (year-on-year/y-on-y). The most significant change in the index is in the Agriculture Sector, which increased by 8.56 percent.
  • The year-on-year price change in March 2024 was contributed mainly by rice, filtered cigarettes with cloves, cacao beans, gingers, and paddies. 
  • The WPI in March 2024 changed by 0.68 percent month-to-month (m-to-m) and 1.66 percent year-to-date (y-to-d).
  • The WPI Construction Materials in March 2024 changed by 0.51 percent year-on-year, partly due to the increasing prices of sands, stone for construction foundations, floorings, diesel fuel, and aggregate.
