Abstract

In January 2024, Indonesia's National Wholesale Price Index changed by 2.80 percent compared with January 2023 (year-on-year/y-on-y). The most significant change in the index is in the Agriculture Sector, which increased by 5.53 percent.
The year-on-year price change in January 2024 was contributed mainly by gingers, paddies, maize, rice, and filtered cigarettes with clove.
The WPI in January 2024 changed by 0.24 percent month-to-month (m-to-m) and 0.24 percent year-to-date (y-to-d).
The WPI Construction Materials in January 2024 changed by 0.42 percent year-on-year, partly due to the increasing prices of sands, stone for construction foundations, and aggregate.
