Abstract

The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in December 2023 was 5.6 million, an increase of 7.84 percent compared to November 2023. International air transport passengers increased by 9.85 percent to 1.5 million. From January to December 2023, the number of domestic air transport passengers was 62.7 million, increasing by 19.20 percent. The number of international air transport passengers was 15.6 million, which increased by 120.07 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in December 2023 was recorded at 1.9 million, increasing by 17.75 percent compared to November 2023. The freight transported by domestic sea transport decreased by 3.76 percent, turning 28.8 million tons. From January to December 2023, the number of domestic sea transport passengers reached 19.9 million and increased by 11.69 percent compared to the same period in 2022. Meanwhile, freight increased by 9.47 percent, reaching 351.0 million tons.
The number of railway passengers departing in December 2023 was 35.1 million people, which increased by 6.53 percent compared to November 2023. Furthermore, freight transported by train increased by 9.49 percent to 6.3 million tons. The number of passengers reached 371.5 million from January to December 2023 and increased by 34.07 percent compared to the same period in 2022. Moreover, the cumulative freight transported by train rose 8.49 percent to 67.2 million tons.
