Abstract

• Nunukan's economy in the second quarter of 2023 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices reached 10.74 trillion rupiah and at constant 2010 prices reached 4.43 trillion rupiah.
• Nunukan's economy in the second quarter of 2023 compared to the second quarter of 2022 grew by 4.13 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, the Electricity and Gas experienced the highest growth of 25.77 percent.
• The Nunukan economy in the second quarter of 2023 compared to the previous quarter experienced a growth of 1.98 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the Electricity and Gas experienced the highest growth of 22.32 percent.
• The Nunukan economy in the first semester of 2023 compared to the first semester of 2022 experienced a growth of 4.36 percent (c-to-c). From the production side, the Electricity and Gas experienced the highest growth of 17.13 percent.
• In the region of North Kalimantan Province, the economy of Regency/City in the second quarter of 2023 (y-on-y) for all Regencies/Cities is experiencing growth. Malinau Regency grew by 4.75 percent; Bulungan Regency by 4.53 percent; Tana Tidung Regency by 5.62 percent; Nunukan Regency by 4.13 percent; and Tarakan City with 6.23 percent.
• The economic contribution of Nunukan Regency in the second quarter of 2023 is 29.22 percent of North Kalimantan's total GRDP. Nunukan Regency is the second highest contributor to North Kalimantan Province's GRDP after Tarakan City.
