Abstract

The Nunukan Economy in 2021 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp 28.84 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reached Rp 16.35 trillion.
  • Nunukan's economy in 2021 (c-to-c) grew by 4.07 percent, compared to 2020. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Health Services and Social Activities business field of 8.87 percent.
  • Nunukan's economy in the fourth quarter of 2021 when compared to the fourth quarter of 2020 (y-on-y) grew by 6.79 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Health Services and Social Activities business field of 11.14 percent.
  • The economy of Nunukan in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) grew by 1.70 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was also achieved by the Electricity and Gas Procurement business field of 7.76 percent.
  • In the province of North Kalimantan, the economy in 2021 all regencies/cities will experience growth. Malinau Regency grew by 4.70 percent; Bulungan Regency grew by 4.01 percent; Tana Tidung Regency grew by 4.29 percent; Nunukan Regency grew by 4.07 percent; and Tarakan City grew by 4.02 percent.
  • The economic contribution of Nunukan Regency in 2021 is 26.29 percent of the total GRDP of North Kalimantan. Nunukan Regency is the second highest contributor to the GRDP of North Kalimantan Province after Tarakan City.
